DESCRIPTION

Seachem Pristine is a natural and effective solution for maintaining optimal water quality in both freshwater and marine aquariums. Utilizing a bio-augmentation approach, Pristine introduces beneficial bacteria that work to break down excess ood, waste, and detritus. This method helps manage organic waste and reduce excess nutrients like ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites, which can contribute to the growth of nuisance organisms and diseases. By incorporating these specialized bacteria, Pristine helps to improve water clarity and promote a healthier aquatic environment.

Seachem Pristine contains active ingredients that support the growth of bacterial colonies that can adapt to harsh conditions and continue to enhance water quality. Additionally, the bacteria in Pristine effectively break down fats and other organic compounds that can lead to unsightly films on the water's surface. With its ability to eliminate sludge and improve water clarity, Seachem Pristine is a valuable tool for maintaining a clean and vibrant aquarium.

Key Benefits

  • Utilizes a bio-augmentation approach with beneficial bacteria to break down excess food, waste, and detritus naturally
  • Reduces excess nutrients such as ammonia, nitrates (Nitrate Reducing in Aquarium), and nitrites, which helps prevent the growth of harmful organisms and diseases
  • Promotes the establishment of bacterial colonies that trap particulates, leading to clearer water
  • It contains bacteria that thrive in both freshwater and marine environments and can adapt to harsh or low-oxygen conditions
  • Effectively breaks down fats and other organic compounds that can cause unsightly films on the water surface
  • Provides a non-chemical solution for improving water quality, making it safe for all aquatic life

SAFETY & PRECAUTIONS

  • Safe for most fish, invertebrates, and plants.
  • Avoid use with sensitive species or during major water changes.
  • Avoid overdosing.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
  • Keep the container tightly closed.
  • Always shake the bottle well before use to ensure even distribution of bacteria.
  • Turn off UV sterilizers and ozone generators before adding Pristine.
  • Wait 2-3 days after application before reactivating these systems.
  • Remove antibiotics with fresh carbon and perform a water change before using Pristine.
  • If fish show signs of stress, perform a partial water change to help stabilize conditions.

DIRECTION

  • Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure the bacteria are properly mixed
  • Ensure UV sterilizers and ozone generators are turned off before application to prevent interference with the bacteria
  • Use 1 capful (5 mL) of Pristine for every 40 liters (10 US gallons) of aquarium water
  • After the initial dose, administer a maintenance dose of 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 liters (20 US gallons) following additions of livestock, or if there is disruption to the biofilter due to cleaning or medications
  • If antibiotics have been used, remove them with fresh carbon and perform a water change before adding Pristine
  • Allow 2 to 3 days for the bacteria to establish themselves before reactivating UV sterilizers or ozone
  • Recurring issues with high nutrient levels may suggest overstocking, overfeeding, or inadequate filtration
