Frequently Asked Questions
What is ReptiVite Without D3?
+
ReptiVite Without D3 is a Zoo Med reptile vitamin and mineral supplement that includes calcium and essential amino acids without added vitamin D3, so it helps support healthy bones and shells in reptiles kept under proper UV lighting.
Is calcium without D3 better than D3 for reptiles?
+
Calcium without D3 can be better when reptiles already get enough vitamin D3 from sunlight or UVB lamps, because it avoids double‑dosing while still providing the calcium needed for strong bones and shells.
What vitamins does ReptiVite have?
+
ReptiVite Without D3 contains a broad range of vitamins, including A, E, K, B‑complex vitamins, plus calcium, other minerals, and 16 essential amino acids, all in a clean, soy‑ and yeast‑free formula.
What is zoo med calcium without D3?
+
Zoo Med Calcium Without D3 is a phosphorus‑free, bioavailable calcium powder that supports healthy bone and shell development in reptiles and amphibians when they already meet their vitamin D3 needs through UV light or diet.
Should I use calcium with or without D3?
+
Use calcium without D3 if your reptile receives adequate UVB light or natural sunlight, and choose calcium with D3 only if they lack proper UV exposure, always following a veterinarian’s guidance to avoid overdosing.
