During the setup of a new tank, KH Coralline Gro serves as the recommended substitute for Reef Foundation B (buffer), making it an ideal foundation supplement. It is aquarium water treatments are equally suitable as the primary buffer for fish-only aquariums or tanks that primarily contain soft corals, where stable alkalinity is crucial but heavy supplementation is not yet required.

• Avoid daily alkalinity increases of more than 0.5 meq/L (1.4 dKH) to prevent coral stress.
