Description

Application : In wide ranging field trials covering a wide variety of animal, bird and reptile species the product has demonstrated good healing and antimicrobial action while at the same time was shown to be effective against a variety of insects. Long residual effectiveness was also demonstrated across the disinfecting and insecticidal spectrums. The product is water soluble and can be rinsed clear with water.

Antimicrobial Action : The antimicrobial action of the product is based upon core actives of the F10 compound as used in other F10 antiseptic and disinfectant products. At the concentrations in this product, the efficacy achieved is log5 reduction in microbial counts against gram positive and gram negative bacteria, as well as fungi, yeast and moulds. F10 has proven virucidal effectiveness against both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.

Indications

Topical antiseptic for wound treatment, infection prevention, insect repellent, fly strike prevention, as well as treatment.

Species Use

Animals , birds and reptiles (Not to be used on aquatic life, animals intended for human consumption and food producing animals. Use of F10 Germicide Wound Spray With Insecticide is prohibited on dogs, cats , horses and food producing species such as cattles, pigs, chickens, turkeys, rabbits, ducks, deer, pigeons and turtles)

Antimicrobial Action

Reduction of gram positive/negative bacteria, fungi, yeast, molds, virucidal against enveloped and non-enveloped viruses

Insecticidal Action

Effective against blow fly larvae & eggs, adult flies, biting flies, fleas, mosquitoes, ticks and various other insects and pests.

Safety

Avoid contact with flammable substances, dangerous to fish/aquatic life

Application Notes

Use gloves, apply in well-ventilated area, rinse wound before use, water soluble, reapply if washed or exposed to rain

Cool, well-ventilated place; avoid direct sunlight

  • Wear gloves during application to prevent skin irritation.
  • Do not mix with other chemicals.
  • Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons, and pets.
  • This product contains Cypermethrin that is  highly toxic to fish and aquatic life; so it is not to be used for aquatic life . 
  • In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting; give water or milk and seek medical attention immediately.
  • Store in the original container, in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  • Use only as directed and in a well-ventilated area.
  • Remove all organic material and clean the wound using an approved irrigating solution such as F10 Antiseptic Solution.
  • Hold the bottle approximately 10 cm from the affected area.
  • Apply 1 to 2 sprays onto each wound site.
  • Do not exceed 2 spray actions per kg of body weight or a maximum of 5 treated areas per animal in a 24-hour period.
  • Leave the sprayed area to dry naturally.
  • Repeat the application every 4-5 days or as advised by a veterinarian.
  • This small animal medication is water soluble and should be reapplied if the animal has been washed or exposed to heavy rain.
  • The spray can also be used to treat and prevent fly strike and tick bites with the same application method.
