- During the initial 30 days, monitor ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels as the aquarium cycles.
- Do not use detergents, bleach, or other chemicals to clean the sponge filter.
- Replace the sponge every 6 months to maintain filtration efficiency and prevent clogging.
- Ensure the air pump is appropriate for the aquarium size and does not create excessive current for sensitive fish.
