Aquarium Solutions Ich-X Liquid Treatment 4-oz

The Aquarium Solution Treatment Ich-X Liquid Treatment is a premium solution for combating ich and similar diseases. This treatment utilizes a less toxic form of malachite green, ensuring safety for sensitive fish species. Designed for freshwater and marine aquariums, it effectively addresses protozoan-caused diseases. As part of aquariums' fish supplies, Ich-X stands out for its efficacy and gentle action. Its formulation ensures minimal stress on fish and biological filtration systems.

• Ich-X comprises water, formaldehyde (less than 5%), methanol (less than 2%), and malachite green chloride (less than 0.1%). This combination ensures the effective treatment of ich and related diseases while being gentle on aquatic life.

• Avoid using Ich-X with other medications or sulfur-based water conditioners. 
• The product may stain silicone, rocks, and decorations; handle with care to prevent damage. 
• Use caution when treating aquariums containing invertebrates, as they may be sensitive to the treatment. 
• Perform a significant water change if any stress is observed among treated aquatic life.
• In case of contact, immediately flush skin or eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; for eyes, get immediate medical attention.

• For Aquarium: To treat "ich" disease (ichthyophthiriasis) of freshwater fishes and "marine ich" disease (cryptocaryonaisis) of marine fishes, add one (1) teaspoon (~5 mL) of Ich-X® to 10 gallons (38L) of aquarium water.

• For Best Results: (1) always treat in a separate quarantine/treatment tank, (2) remove activated carbon from filters and clean or replace mechanical filtration media (do not stop filtration!) (3) make at least 1/3 water change before each addition of Ich-X® (use Ultimate® or a combination of Stress-X® and ClorAm-X® to condition new water). Larger water change improves performance; and (4) repeat treatments at least every 24 hours, but no more than every 8 hours, depending upon the course of the disease (refer to the Product Data Sheets linked below). Continue uninterrupted treatments for three (3) days after all visible signs of disease conditions cease.

• DO NOT OVERDOSE - this means you should calculate the actual amount of water in your tank by multiplying the length x width x height and dividing by 231 to get the true gallons. Please also deduct the amount of space consumed by substrate (gravel, sand, etc.), rock, decorations or other things that are displacing water.
